Physical Therapy

Individual Physical Therapy provided in a private setting. We will work on your goals together, spending the entirety of the session focused on the plan that we establish collaboratively in the initial evaluation. One on one physical therapy allows for optimized learning for the patient and complete focus by the Physical Therapist in our clinic.


Personal Training

One on One Personal Training Sessions or for a group of friends, teammates, etc. who would like to establish a private group session

Amy coaches our Moms Fitness Classes on Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10am. Amy is a curriculum writer and former elementary school teacher with 14 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Education, and Sixth Year degree in Educational Leadership. Amy’s fitness journey has included high school soccer, Division I sailing team, ten years of CrossFit, and sprinkling of half marathons. Prior to being at Alpha, Amy coaches Kids CrossFit. As a mom of three, Amy is committed to modeling a healthy lifestyle for her kids. Amy teaches the AlphaMoms cohort, providing a safe place to learn lifts, take risks, build strength, and have fun!

Kayla received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University. Kayla has worked in a wide range of facilities including; inpatient & outpatient rehab centers, acute hospital rehab, & homecare therapy. Kayla has a passion for working in the homecare setting, but since having her own children she has had an increased desire to work with the youth population. Kayla works in conjunction with Steve to develop the Kids Fitness Classes / Camps. Kayla has a passion to continue to develop the youth program at Alpha Therapy & Training to enhance the health and wellness in children of all ages. Kayla enjoys running, hiking, traveling & relaxing at the beach. Fun Fact: Kayla was on a jump roping team in Elementary School and hopes to be able to incorporate jump roping into the Kids Fitness Classes.

Steve received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. Steve has worked in a wide range of facilities including; inpatient & outpatient rehab centers, acute hospital rehab, & homecare therapy. Steve has experience working with all ages from 0-104. Steve has a passion for working with athletes and enjoys coaching his own children’s sports in the community, including baseball and hockey. Steve enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and playing as a goalie in a Men’s Hockey League. Steve develops all programming at Alpha Therapy & Training for Adult & Kid Fitness Classes. Adult classes are focused on strength & conditioning. Kid classes are activity-based for 6-10 year olds and exercise-based for 11-14 year olds. Kid classes are designed to challenge and progress developmental skills for the different age levels. Steve also works with athletes one on one for individualized plans and can accommodate small groups for sport specific training.
